The dates and venue
South African Fashion Week has announced its AW27 Collections, taking place at The Forum, Hyde Park Corner, Johannesburg, from Tuesday 21 October to Sunday 25 October 2026. The line-up brings together established designers and a new generation showing for the first time, following SAFW's collaboration with Pierre Cardin (source: South African Fashion Week media release, September 2026).
Why this season matters for models
Fashion week is one of the busiest moments of the year for runway models in Johannesburg. Designers cast for shows, fittings and presentations, and many brands use the same week to book lookbook and campaign work.
